MV Trident

MV Trident is the only technical liveaboard operating on the Gulf of Thailand.

M.V.Trident was built for the German Navy and used as a Coastguard cutter in the Baltic Sea. She was sold to Thailand and used by Thai Customs before being sold and converted for diving use. She is a stable comfortable vessel with lots of room to relax in between dives.

Accommodation is in A/C twin bunk cabins, although we have no en-suite facilities there are three shower rooms, so no queues. Charging points are all round the boat,220V.

For technical divers the crew can blend any Trimix blend,Nitrox to 40% and deco bars supply oxygen at 6m and shallower. For CCR divers Trident can supply sorb and oxygen boosted to 200 bar - and a clean dry place to repair your unit!

Trident runs regular technical diving live-aboard expeditions - normally twice a month - and the very occasional recreational diving trip. All meals are provided , a mixture of Thai and international cuisine. MV Trident has a fully stocked bar and a large BBQ. You won’t go hungry or thirsty - promise.

Technical tours take a maximum of ten divers. Twins (2 x DIN aluminium 11litre) and DIN deco cylinders are included, all other equipment is available for rent. The Gulf of Siam was heavily patrolled by US submarines,in 1945 they sank dozens of ‘marus’ - Japanese freighters and tankers carrying everything from supplies to POW’s. Using the submarines’ logs as a starting point each of the Tridents expeditions include exploratory dives with the chance of diving virgin WW2 wrecks.
