The PADI Deep Diver Certification teaches you new skills

 

Deep diving is a means to an end. It is a passport to a greater number of dive sites where you can sightsee and engage in new activities. Phuket's famous King Cruiser Wreck, which lies at over 30m, is just one of the many fantastic reasons to take your Deep Diver Certification whilst enjoying your holiday in Thailand.


Deep diving can allow you to:


• Observe different types of aquatic life and bottom topography (walls)
• Explore wrecks
• Take unique photographs
• Drift dive

 

 

Min Age : 15
Pre-requisites: PADI Adventure Diver Certification or equivalent
Recommended Schedule : 2 Days
No. Dives : 4 ocean dives
Student Diver Materials : PADI Deep Diver Manual
Qualification : Internationally recognized - maximum depth of 40 meters.

Course outline

This course is designed to be an introduction to deep diving and to help the student diver develop the necessary skills, knowledge and techniques to safely participate in deep diving activities.

 

This course covers the following;

 

1. Planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of deep diving
2. Risk factors and decompression-tables review
3. Safety stops and emergency decompression procedures
4. Special equipment, descent lines and buoyancy-control considerations
5. Procedures for flying after diving and high-altitude diving
6. Orientation to recompression chambers

 

Course goals

 

• To develop your theoretical knowledge of deep diving.
• To increase your diving skills.
• To enable you to organize and safely conduct no-decompression dives between the depths of 18 metres/60 feet to 40 metres/130 feet.
• To improve your diving ability and provide you with additional supervised experience.

 

Course timetable

The Deep Diver course is completed over two days.


Collection from your resort is at 7.30 am and you will be back on Phuket by late afternoon.
